So the question is, why do people hire professional organizers to help them organize their stuff?

Research has shown that clutter has a profound effect on our mental wellbeing. In one study at UCLA they found that high levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, in individuals when talking about the clutter in their homes; and 77% of Americans said they felted regularly stressed about the clutter or neatness in their homes. We all have heard at some point how stress can effect our health.
Our homes should be the place we escape stress, or at least not add stress with clutter and disorganized spaces.
